Hello Bachhon

I realise, eventually, that a show like Hello Bachhon expects homework from its viewers.

The biggest problem with Hello Bachhon is that it is far more invested in celebrating its hero than telling a nuanced story.

And while I do think that excellent Vineet Kumar Singh is rightly the star of the show, even as his character keeps protesting against his face being the prime draw on posters, etc., there's nothing he can do to prevent the repetitive tracks of teachers resigning — server going down — funding being withdrawn — dulling everything.

Hello Bachhon is not just a mere series; it is indeed an inspiring and heartwarming story that celebrates the power of perseverance, compassion, and the true purpose of education.

With the Physics Wallah logo write large over the episodes, the series ends up as a brand building exercise that is passed off as nothing less than a social “revolution”.

The latest offering in the same mix is Hello Bachhon, a crossover between the remains of The Kota Factory and the emotional capacity of a CSR advertisement.

Hello Bachhon remains an earnest and engaging watch. It may not break new ground within TVF’s now-familiar education genre, but its emotional sincerity and Vineet Kumar Singh’s committed performance make it worthwhile.
