How TezScore works
TezScore is an aggregate of scored reviews from Indian critics and publications. It is not a user rating and it does not include IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes or other global aggregators.
The calculation
Every original score is normalized to 100, then the available Indian-media scores are averaged. A 3.5/5 review becomes 70/100; a 7/10 review also becomes 70/100. TezFlicks displays the rounded average as TezScore.
Coverage labels
- Early coverage
- One or two scored Indian-media reviews. Useful, but not yet broad.
- Growing coverage
- Three to seven scored reviews. The aggregate represents multiple perspectives.
- Strong coverage
- Eight or more scored reviews. The aggregate has a wider evidence base.
What is kept separate
IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes may appear as clearly labelled reference scores. They never change TezScore. Text-only reviews still inform the visible review record and may inform a disclosed consensus, but they do not receive an invented numeric score.
Consensus and AI disclosure
When a critics' consensus is present, it is synthesized only from linked review records. The title page identifies that it is AI-assisted and shows the underlying source reviews. A consensus is a navigation aid—not a replacement for reading the original criticism.
Corrections
If a source changes, disappears, or was mapped incorrectly, TezFlicks can remove or correct the affected review. The title page always links to the original source when a working source URL is available.
