Even though this season of Gram Chikitsalay is way short of expectations from a TVF production, Amol Parashar's earnestness makes one care enough for him to see where his journey takes him.

Gram Chikitsalay suffers from a case of narrative inertia, where the show thinks through every detail but rarely acts upon it with a stricter gaze.

The Amol Parashar-starrer is a good idea with a beating heart, but that is not all it takes to build a stellar show. The glue to bind multiple plots is missing in Gram Chikitsalay, and that dilutes the impact of this potent story.

After ‘Panchayat’ and the recent ‘Dupahiya,’ Prime Video returns with another series set in a rural backdrop, ‘Gram Chikitsalay.’ The TVF show introduces Dr Prabhat Sinha (Amol Parashar), a gold medallist from one of India’s top medical colleges, choosing to work as a medical officer (MO) in a fictional Jharkhand village, named Bhatkandi. He's a hopeful man, trying to bring about change and serve the underprivileged. However, his good intentions face an unexpected challenge - despite being an earnest and sincere doctor, the villagers place their trust in the local quack, Chetak Kumar (Vinay Pathak), over him.
