What truly puts the film in another realm is the cast’s outstanding performances. Raja Gautham has done a commendable job and his father and legendary actor Brahmanandam was equally brilliant. He executed navarasas, and binds the audience emotionally. Brahmanandam’s role has similarities to that of the film ‘Rangamarthanda.’ Vennela Kishore, too, subtly brings his brilliance to the mix. He makes for a few rib-tickling moments with his comic timing and lively dialogues. However, several unnecessary scenes should have been chopped off to make it crispier. Brahma Anandam is a popcorn kind of film where the film takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions, but rather slowly. Hence the film should be short and crisp leaving the audiences wanting for more. In an age where audiences want to experience high in theaters, offbeat films like Brahma Anandam need to get its pace right.Read at source

Brahma Anandam
Brahmanandam, a regular middle-class youngster, is notoriously sarcastic, a quick wit and has good observational and writing knack. But in person, he is extremely self-centered and doesn't care for anyone except for himself. Though he is serious about his passion, success never welcomed him. His life is always a misery, filled with failures. So, he decides to sign with a renowned agency that guarantees to book him big shows, for which he needs to procure a large sum of 5 lakhs. But Brahma is broke and is struggling to make ends meet. With all this mess in his life and the inconsistent career, his girlfriend broke up with him, leaving him distraught. Amid this crisis, Brahma is reintroduced to his grandfather Ananda Ram Murthy, a novel writer, after 15 years. Murthy is abandoned by his younger son and is forced to live in an old age home. Dissatisfied with his life, he wishes to spend his last days in his native village, so he asks Brahma to come with him. Brahma, neck-deep in trouble doesn't care to help his grandfather. Knowing his grandson's condition, Murthy suggests he can sell their ancestral assets, so that Brahmanandam can take the money to pursue his dreams. Tempted by this offer, Brahma takes his grandfather to their village. But he missed the fact that Murthy was a writer before. This time, his story is sold. Brahma goes to the village to find out they don't have any assets there. In fact, it's not even their hometown.

On the whole, Brahma Anandam has a promising premise but falters in execution. While Brahmanandam delivers a refreshing performance and Raja Goutham impresses, the film struggles with a sluggish narrative and an underdeveloped emotional core. If you’re a fan of Brahmanandam and enjoy slow-paced dramas, you might try it, but keep your expectations in check. Otherwise, look out for better entertainment choices this weekend.Read at source
Director RVS Nikhil handles the emotional nuances of the story well, though the pacing could have been tighter. The film's exploration of intergenerational relationships and the importance of caring for elders is both timely and relevant. "Brahma Anandam" is a film that will resonate with audiences who appreciate heartfelt stories and strong performances, despite its imperfections. It reminds us of the enduring power of family bonds and the importance of pursuing one's passions. Though the film explores touching themes of family, sacrifice, and second chances, it didn't resonates them in an impactful manner onscreen. The balance between comedy and drama isn't always seamless. The editing by Praneeth Kumar could have been better. Cinematography by Mithesh Parvathaneni is decent. Music by Sandilya deserves mention. His background score also enhances the mood of the film.Read at source
The core theme of Brahma Anandam is strong on paper, depicting grandparents marrying at an old age is an interesting premise. However, the execution falters. The film had two potential directions: an emotional family drama or a quirky comedy, given Brahmanandam’s presence. Unfortunately, director RVS Nikhil attempts to blend both, losing grip on the narrative. For the story to work, strong chemistry between the grandfather and grandson was crucial, but it falls flat. Raja Goutham and Brahmanandam barely connect on screen, making their relationship unconvincing. Interestingly, Goutham shares better camaraderie with Vennela Kishore, whose comedy is the film’s saving grace. Rather than focusing on why Brahmanandam’s character wants to remarry, the film diverts to the hero’s acting aspirations, weakening the central plot. The romance between the elderly couple is underdeveloped, with minimal interaction, making their relationship feel unconvincing.Read at source
While the concept is strong at its core, the screenplay struggles to seamlessly integrate the story into the narrative. Some scenes are engaging and humorous, but the film as a whole lacks cohesion, leaving us without a sense of completeness. The subplot involving Sampath Raj attempting to clear his 10th-grade exam had the potential to be both funny and entertaining, but it would have been more effective if the film’s tone and approach had been aligned accordingly.Read at source
