She also praised the score by Dasgupta and addressed Chandrasish' directiorial style, citing "Chandrashish proves that the Kakababu franchise isn't into the hands of someone incompetent".

Shatakshi Ganguly of IMW Buzz rated the film 4 out of 5 stars and highlighted "Kolkata remains gloriously Kolkata, and Prosenjit Chatterjee stamps the truth once again as the inimitable Raja Roy Chowdhury, aka Kakababu.
