The idea of chaos comedy is a tough one to pull off, especially when there is a pool of characters. You need to create links that would make things look plausible on screen, and at the same time, take care of each individual track. The new film from Bibin Krishna, who previously made Anoop Menon-starrer Twenty One Grams, is a fairly good attempt to become a chaos comedy, and there are certain sequences in which almost all the characters are on screen, which will make us laugh out loud. But like I said in the beginning, maintaining all the tracks with the same level of excitement is a tough task, and some of the elements in the story are not landing smoothly. Having said all that, this comedy of errors and coincidences is enjoyable on the whole.

Instead of presenting a straightforward slapstick comedy, the creators efficiently bring together three groups of people from various walks of life in one setting to find solutions to their concerns. Sahasam's comical moments are undoubtedly its most appealing feature; they keep viewers keen in a light-hearted way without having too many characters or intricate stories. Bibin Ashok's music plays a pivotal role in the film, adding the right mood for the movie. The revival of the soundtrack 'Oru Muthum Thedi' from the 1999 movie, Independence, is commendable. Additionally, performances are impressive, particularly those of Babu Antony as Wolf, Gouri G. Kishan as Sera, Ramzan as Jeevan, and Narain as Rajiv Nambiar. The remainder of the cast, however, never stops captivating the audience with their eccentric performances and demeanours.

Despite these flaws, 'Sahasam' remains an enjoyable watch thanks to its comedic core and spirited performances.

Despite these many characters, none of them have the privilege of a proper arc or depth. Babu Antony is perhaps the only reassuring presence amidst all the chaos. Lately, filmmakers have been increasingly avoiding spoonfeeding to respect the audience's intelligence and ensure they also participate in storytelling. However, when even crucial information is not provided, it only keeps us distant. Here, we don't know much about the past of Babu Antony's character, which is perfectly fine, but it's still important to know why he is so desperate for the money so that we root for him. Without that basic understanding, we hardly care if he wins in his endeavour to find the password to the cryptocurrency. It's also odd to see Jeeva and his friends going to the extent of risking their lives for him, because they, like us, hardly know him.
