Sub-inspector Sebastian is a policeman who inflates his own heroics, while his subordinate Dileep follows orders even when it strains life at the police quarters with his daughter. An unidentified man's body is found in the river, and neither station wants the case until the corpse is pushed into Sebastian's jurisdiction; they treat it as a chore to close quickly, even arranging a burial when the mortuary fills. The case turns when a woman from another city arrives insisting the dead man is her missing husband and demanding the body be produced, putting both officers' shortcuts and reputations under official scrutiny.
