Meet the Artists

Meet the Artists

Meet The Artists follows five graffiti writers who are redefining Kolkata's cultural identity through graffiti and hip-hop. Set against the backdrop of a city steeped in tradition, the series captures how a new generation of artists uses street art as a form of resistance, self-expression, and cultural reclamation. Through intimate conversations and observational storytelling, the series explores themes of identity, resilience, gender, and creative freedom-highlighting how art in public spaces can challenge social norms and empower marginalized voices, particularly women, within urban India. The series offers a rare, authentic look into India's underground art movement and speaks to a global audience interested in youth culture, social change, and the transformative power of creativity.
