My ears are still hurting, several hours of watching Chatrapathi, an ultra-loud remake of the SS Rajamouli-Prabhas film of the same name, which could be straight out of the templated potboilers of the 70s and 80s. It has a ‘dukhiyari maa’, a good son who will do anything for his mother, a bad son who can’t stand the fact that his mother loves his ‘bada bhaiyya’ as much she does, and the kind of villains who demand utter subservience from their serfs: yeh zindagi tumhari nahin, hamaari hai, they thunder, and the listeners cower and shiver, and become slaves for the rest of their lives. Having got that out of the way, all I can say is that newbie Bellamkonda Sai Srivinas, in his Hindi film debut, does an efficient job of being a muscular saviour of the meek.Read at source

Synopsis
Chatrapathi
Shivaji is a refugee and the adopted son of Parvati, who sets out to find his mother after being separated by his jealous brother and Parvati's biological son Ashok (Karan Singh Chhabra) years ago in Pakistan. While searching for his mother, Shivaji meets Sapna, who also helps him in his crusade, and the two fall for each other. Meanwhile, Shivaji battles against Bhairav and Bhavani for harming his fellow refugees, and they all start referring to him as Chatrapathi. Ashok also learns that Shivaji is alive and joins hands with Shivaji's enemies to finish him. Despite this, Shivaji finishes his enemies and he reunites with Parvati. Ashok apologizes for his mistakes after realizing that Shivaji helped him and Parvati and the family lead a happy life.
